My Urban Decay Naked Palette!  According to Allure magazine, Urban Decay’s Naked palettes are the most pinned makeup palettes on Pinterest!  For the longest time I wanted to get one; I finally gave into temptation & bought one!  (I have other makeup palettes, & would always talk myself out of getting it.)  Not to mention my review on Sephora’s Beautiful Crush Blockbuster Palette is one of my most popular posts ever!  So, I figure why not share this with everyone else?

 

Splurge: Urban Decay’s Original Naked Palette, $54

Of course naturally, each shade is highly pigmented.  I got the original Naked Palette, which has a nice mix of browns, pinks, & smoky eyeshadows.  And it comes with a double ended eyeshadow brush.  Usually makeup brushes that come with a palette are real crap, but this one was quite good!  Comes with a mirror, velvety cover on the outside; big enough to be a professional makeup palette, but small enough to put in your bag!

I tried on a few smoky eyes strictly with the colors in this palette; just with an added swipe of liquid eyeliner.

Here is a brown smoky eye using colors ‘Half Baked’, & ‘Hustle’.  

Here’s another smoky eye, using colors ‘Gunmetal’ & ‘Creep’.  

Which one do you think looks better?

The downside to this palette?  I would love it if it were a more all inclusive palette, that included lip glosses, blush or something.  But it has amazing quality, is quite portable & versatile, so I feel like I can’t complain!  Also I would love it if it were slightly more affordable.  (2 Naked palettes will set you back about $100!)  BUT, however, makeup palettes do last A LONG time, and $54 price tag is not that bad, considering how long it would last you.  Sephora & Ulta do have coupons once in awhile (like once a year) where you can get 20% off anything.  THAT would be the time to get it!  Otherwise if you want to be a savvy saver, see if they offer a good deal on Ebay.  If you want it, get it!  My Grade: A

More than one person has noticed that this palette is a dupe for Urban Decay’s Naked palette.  And it’s yours for literally 1/5 the price!  The colors are quite similar, & you get more for your money.  A STEAL vs. Urban Decay!

I’ve given you options!  Whatever you decide, go with it!
