The Met Gala..  really short for The Costume Institute Gala, used to be a much smaller affair since it started in 1971!  And what is the Met Gala really for?  It’s for raising money for The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, & the event marks the opening of the institute’s annual exhibit.  This year the theme is called Heavenly Bodies; fashion inspired by Catholicism & the Church.  I used to do lists of best dressed on red carpets; I thought I’d give it a different spin & give you some info that you could actually utilize: the drugstore favorites from your celebrities that have walked the red carpet!
