“I enjoy being a girl!” As women in the modern era, we have a lot to juggle. If it’s not school, it’s work, family, all the while trying to look good & keep our hair in place. I do admire especially working mothers these days; especially women who somehow manage to be chic, & balance work & family. How do they do it? Here I can give you tips on what to have to be more prepared & organized to tackle on the world.
The Working Woman
Clockwise: Maybelline’s Fit Me Foundation Stick, $9, Rollerballs Of Perfume, around $20, Wet N Wild Mega Slicks Lip Gloss, $2, Rimmel’s Waterproof Eyeliner, $7, Pop Up Mirror & Brush, $1.50, Soap & Glory’s One Heck Of A Blot, $16
Keep your mane in check by carrying a travel sized hair brush; and a foundation stick & a lip gloss for quick touch ups! If you like to wear eyeliner, it’s ideal to stick to a waterproof one. Have a rollerball of your favorite fragrance for a pick-me-up during the day, & a blotting powder in case your nose gets shiny.
Mother
Clockwise: Garnier’s Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller, $11, Mario Badescu’s Facial Spray with Aloe, Herb & Rosewater, $7, 6 pc Aluminum Pill Holder, $8, Purell Hand Sanitizer, $2, Flower’s Highlighter Chubby, $10
You’ve got the most important job of all! As a mom, you have a lot to balance, especially if you’re a working mother! In case you happen to have circles under your eyes (for those sleepless nights), Garnier’s Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller not only is a concealer, but has added caffeine to keep them away! A rosewater mist with aloe helps keep the face balanced, & a highlighter stick is portable & convenient for whenever you want an added glow to your skin. And for your own sound of mind, have some hand sanitizer to keep your hands (and your kids’ hands) germ free, & have some Advil in your bag just in case you need it.
Student
Clockwise: Bath & Body Works Stress Relief Body Wash & Foam, $11, Mario Badescu’s Facial Spray with Aloe, Herb & Rosewater, $7, Scunci Hair Ties, $2, Innisfree Lip & Cheek Tint, $8
You might be tired after classes & studying, & a rosewater mist would help keep the skin hydrated. Get some hair ties to put your hair up, (for an updo is easier to pull off & look put together vs. your hair down) & a lip & cheek tint to add some color to your face on those tiring days. Finally, have on hand a stress free body wash that provides a sense of calm, on those days you’re feeling stressed out.
Athletic
Clockwise: Pssssst Instant Dry Shampoo, $6, Maybelline Dream Perfector 8 in 1 BB Cream, $9, Dove Anti-Perspirant Travel Size, $2, E.L.F. Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths, $3
If you love to get a good workout, you’ll need some products to keep yourself refreshed. Face wipes are great for wiping away makeup or sweat, & keep a mini deodorant on yourself just in case you forget to put it on in the morning. BB cream is great to put on after a workout, & dry shampoo is good for when you don’t want to wash your hair every day. Frequent Flyer
From Left To Right: Eye Mask with Ear Plugs, $13, Aquaphor Lip Repair SPF 30, $3, The Body Shop’s Travel Sized Body Butter, $7 each, Pomegranate Sleeping Mask, $4
For the long flights, you might need an eye mask or ear plugs, for those changes in time zones, or just to drown out the noise while you’re sleeping. To keep yourself hydrated, stick to a moisturizing lip balm, body butter to moisturize as a nice refresher, & finally a sleeping mask that’s meant to revitalize skin while you sleep! Its funny when I first saw your article, I jotted down some items to buy when I hit the stores this weekend. Then, I saw my most fav recent find, Rimmel’s Waterproof Eyeliner for $7. I started using it recently and it beats Smashbox’s eyeliner which is $22!

I live for the Psssssssst (give or take a few s’s)
I’m a mom to a 10 year old boy with ADHD who I homeschool and I also work part time, so things are always busy and hectic, it’s hard to keep yourself looking and feeling good when there’s so much going on. Will definitely have to pick up some off these items.

Great list! I love many of the products listed here.
Foundation sticks are popping up like mushrooms right now! I haven’t tried one yet but I would love to try the Maybelline Fit Me first.
