Gift sets!! I once wrote that they make great gifts for friends. But the more I look around online, the more sets I find; whether they be skincare, makeup, nail polish, etc. I think they are wonderful, wonderful things, because you get to sample all kinds of products, (even high end ones!!!) which i LOVE. And there are so many! Even at great prices! If I listed them all here my blog would never end! Of course there are always cool sets that you can get for yourself for everyday use, but here I will list the best options for gifts.
Hand creams / Body butters
Delightful Hand Cream Trio, $28
There are SO many sets at L’Occitane, usually lotion or fragrance. This gorgeous lotion set consists of cherry blossom, shea butter, & pivione flora scents, would make a great gift for any girl! For all of their gifts, click on L’Occitane’s Gift set
Powdered Foundation
Bare Minerals Up Close & Beautiful set, $22
This set from Bare Minerals comes with primer, 2 foundations, finishing powder, & 2 brushes! Click on the link for they offer it in all different kinds of shades!
Eyeshadow Palettes
Urban Decay’s Naked Basics Palette, $30
Urban Decay’s eye shadow palettes are usually popular staples among makeup artists. They also have larger palettes with more colors, (which are more expensive). They are usually pigmented, matte, & the cases are very portable. If you would like, get one for yourself!
New on the market, has a nice combination of matte & sparkly hues! As for most of Urban Decay’s palettes usually cost at least $50, this is a steal!
L’oreal’s Color Riche La Palette Nude 1, $19
This is actually quite a popular palette. Honestly, I think that L’oreal saw all the attention that Urban Decay gets for their eyeshadow palettes, & decided to make something similar that’s more budget friendly. At less than half the price of a regular Naked Palette ($54!) it comes with colors that are versatile for almost every woman; from the everyday look to nights out on the town. And comes with an eyeshadow brush as well!
Maybelline’s The Rock Nudes Palette, $12
A new recently released palette, where they say you can “bring out your inner rock star.” From white to black & shimmery metallic shades in between, this is great for your girls’ nights out!
Maybelline’s The Blushed Nudes Palette, $10
How cool is this? If you would prefer a more pink nude palette, this is the one for you! 12 shades for only $10!
Lip Gloss Palette
Maybelline Lip Gloss Palette, $12
How often do you see a lip palette at this price? For 8 shades, it ranges from nudes to a deep wine color. Includes a lip brush, feel free to combine & mix the colors!
Makeup Brushes
Ecotools 4 pc Beautiful Complexion Set, $19
I love Ecotools. Not only are they budget friendly, their brushes are cruelty free, & feel so lush & expensive. Here you get 4 brushes for $20! Know a friend who loves makeup? Or get it & save the luxury for yourself! To see all of their products, click here.
Real Techniques Collector’s Edition Deluxe Gift Set, $23
Ugh, another one of my favorite brand of makeup brushes. Real Techniques, this British based brand is making their US invasion. They boast all cruelty-free brushes, and that most of their brushes can stand up by themselves, and cost under $10 each! And they are becoming popular staples among makeup artists! If you don’t get any for a friend, you should get them for yourself!
Face & Body set
Philosophy’s Here Comes The Bride, $32
This would make a great gift for any upcoming bride! This adorable set comes with a facial cleanser, moisturizer, shampoo / shower gel in 1, firming body gel, & a sample of a micro delivery peel. Giving her this kit would help her get ready for her special day!
Soap & Glory’s Soaperwoman, $20
This British based bath & body brand is making their debut stateside! This lovely set has a moisturizing body wash, body milk, & a loofah! This makes for a lovely present!
Lipstick / Mascara set
BareMinerals Kiss Me, It’s My Birthday, 3 pc set, $26
Of course, you’d want to get this for a friend on her birthday. This adorable set includes mascara, eyeliner, & a buttercream lip gloss! If you want to get it for yourself, I won’t tell.
Nail & Lip set
Sephora’s Meet Your Match, $25
I actually bought this set for a friend & she loved it! And the great thing is that it has all kinds of products & brands for them to try. It come with 2 Nail Inc. nail polishes, another 1 by Deborah Lippman, a lip tint, & 2 lip glosses.
Makeup care & skin care sets:
Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze Palette, $10
Love contouring? Are you interested in it or know someone who does? This contouring palette only costs $10! Forget Anastasia Beverly Hills whose palettes cost at least $40! If you would like, Makeup Revolution also offers other contouring palettes!
Too Faced Sugar Pop Palette, $28
Too Faced Cosmetics I think has some of the most adorable products on the market. First they started out with their Chocolate Bar Eye shadow Palette, which is mixed with real cocoa powder! MMmm makeup never smelled so good when it smells like chocolate.. And then they made a Peanut Butter & Jelly inspired palette, and now this one inspired by sweets! There is something to be said when a company puts thought into their packaging as well as their products! Check out their website for more!
Baremineral’s I Love My Best Friend Makeup kit, $27
Who else would you get this for other than your best friend? It comes with a finishing powder, eyeshadow palette, lip gloss, & makeup bag!
Estee Lauder 7 piece gift set, $24
This is actually one of my secrets (that I’m sharing with you). On Amazon.com they sell lots of makeup sets of Estee Lauder & Clinique for mostly under $35! Why pay full price in store?? And almost every girl is delighted to get one!
Clinique’s 7 piece gift set, $20
Moisturizing lotion, makeup remover, lipstick mascara & nail polish. And the great thing about the Estee Lauder & Clinique makeup sets is that they always comes in a pretty little makeup bag.
The only thing is that be careful that some of these sets are ‘Limited Edition’, which means eventually they will sell out & be discontinued. If you like them, snatch them up before someone else does!
i love sets. i have to do my daughters make up for dance comps and sets are the best, as they change make up looks a lot. its great to be able to experiment with different looks
